1. Introduction about An Dinh palace
An Dinh Palace Hue or Cung An Dinh lies on the bank of An Cuu Canal, at 179 Phan Dinh Phung street, Hue city, Vietnam. The place where Khai Dinh Emperor lived from a child until becoming twelfth Emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty as a private residence. Between 1917-1919 Nguyen Phuc Vinh Thuy (later Bao Dai Emperor) had renovated in modern style and became the residence officially.
After Bao Dai abdicated in 1945, he had moved from the Imperial City to the An Dinh Palace and lived with his mother and his wife and his children.
During the twentieth century, this place became the residence for both Vietnam’s last two queens, Tu Cung and Nam Phuong at different times.

3. What is inside of An Dinh Palace Hue?
The total area is about 23.463 square miles. There are 10 structures in total: The Dragon boat station, The Main Entrance, Trung Lap Bower, Khai Tuong Pavilion, Cuu Tu Dai theatre, Animal Cages, Lakes…However, over time and destruction of war, only 3 sites still left intact: Main Entrance, Trung Lap Bower, Khai Tuong Pavilion.
3.1. Main Entrance
Main Gates was built by 3 gates, 2 roofs styles and brick, and mortar styles. The front and back were decorated with proportional mosaic art.
3.2 Trung Lap Bower
Following octagonal structure styles. Inside of the Bower, it has Khai Dinh Emperor bronze statue with the ratio of the real person.
3.3 Khai Tuong Pavilion
This name was named by Khai Dinh Emperor, which is the main structure of An Dinh Palace. This three-storey building was constructed European Palace styles by new materials and covered the area 745 squares miles. Especially on the first floor, the wall paintings are remarkable because western-style paintings survived in Vietnam from the early decades of the XXth century. Besides, that ornamental motif in the innermost rooms is lavish and opulent becomes more dainty with the flora on the periphery. The second floor is the residence and the top floor is the worshiping area. Khai Tuong Palace is the top of decoration art, the perfect blend between Eastern and Western architecture.

5. Entrance tickets and open time at Cung An Dinh Hue:
An Dinh Palace will open from 7 am till 5 pm every day. Currently, the ticket takes 20.000VND (around $1) per adult and free for children under 12 years old. In 2020, the ticket costs 50.000VND (roughly $2) per adult and free for children under 12 years old.
